Abraham Lincoln made Thanksgiving a national holiday in America. Before he did that though, do you know when it was celebrated?
There was no set date. The Governor of each state would set the date. It was not until 1941 that congress rules that it should always be on the fourth Thursday of November.

They should have made Thanksgiving once a month instead of once a year.
